Asking yourself what’s changed in the world? That’s a pretty good question! Here are a few of the major plot and world events that have changed. For Individual NPC’s or canons see our Canon Sheet or our Active Character List to see who is in play and what has been written for them. If who you wish to play is not on either list then they are likely up for play! Just check with our Admin to make sure it’s not a restricted/dead character.
- Albus Dumbledore is dead. Killed in 1935 in a Legendary duel against Gellert Grindelwald.
- Thomas Riddle never became Voldemort. He is known as the heir of Salazar Slytherin, and a Half-Blood. He is Minister of Magic and has been for three prosperous terms. Make no mistake, he is every bit the same dangerous and cunning man, with a ruthless nature. Though his moral compass is pointed in another direction, some still wonder where that may be.
- The Chamber of Secrets was opened, but the Basilisk inside did not kill any students at Hogwarts. Myrtle never died. Hagrid was never expelled.
- The muggle British Prime Minister is aware of the magical world is working closely with Minister Riddle on the safety of the muggle world. Muggle and muggleborn relations have altered drastically. While the prejudice is still there with some of the older pure blood families, most of that way of thinking is seen as archaic and a way of the past.
- Mistreated Magical Youths Rescue Services (MMYRS): a program started by Tom Riddle in his first term, is a department that focuses on rescuing, rehabilitaing, and rehoming children who come from abusive Pureblood families or have been lost in the muggle world by circumstance.
- Death Eaters exist, though they are Auror’s that have been hand picked by the Minister himself. This specialist task force is off the official record but rumoured to be some of the most ruthless and powerful wizards, often feared as they are deemed dangerous. They are completely loyal to the Minister as each one has through something personal that has bonded them. This is often because they have been rejected by society in some way, but accepted by him. (This secret service versus the regular FBI, but you’ve been hand picked and molded by Riddle)
- Followers of Grindelwald are mostly monstrous creates or those who fear him more then Minister Riddle. The line seems fine and almost blurred to some, as to who may actually be the monstrous one. Grindelwald's message of superiority has foundation in many places.
- The Hogwarts Headmaster is [Open], Minerva McGonagall, is still the Deputy.
- At the finale of Fantastic Beasts Gellert Grindelwald escapes captivity. Credence is destroyed. Crimes of Grindelwald is being rewritten by admin staff. Stay tuned for updates.
